Introduction:

Ganesh Himal Trekking, a moderate to adventurous walks into beautiful and hidden areas of Nepal North Mid-West Himalaya, where very few travelers often visits this pristine country due to its remoteness and isolated from main town and villages and road network. People with great interest to venture into ‘off the beaten tracks’ this will be a perfect choice of less than two week duration holidays in Nepal Himalaya where one can get closer to mountains with enchanting forest covered by tall rhododendron, oaks, magnolia, pines, firs and bamboos which makes an good home for many wild-life including the rare and elusive Red Panda. A super and fascinating walks leading you into nice and lovely farm villages from low warm paddy fields to cooler alpine high zone with a tremendous panorama of mountains with Ganesh-Langtang, Manaslu and as far to Annapurna due west direction. On this lovely Ganesh Himal Trekking, which you leads to explore remote farm villages and then into the pure wilderness away from human habitations till walk ends at Trisuli Bazaar near the outskirt of Kathmandu valley. Ganesh Himal Trekking begins with exciting drive towards mid hills of Dhading areas to Gorkha district at Arughat River valley, where walk starts heading through number of farm villages and the away from human habitation into sheer wilderness of mountains and dense forest crossing high and scenic Pangsing Bhanyang-la pass and then ending our adventure with drive back to Kathmandu. Day 05: Trek to Lamo Dhunga 2,200 m - 06 hrs.

Day 07: Trek to Khading 2, 570 m - 05 hrs.

Day 08: Trek to Timila school 1,760 m ahead Tirigaon - 06 hrs.

Day 11: Trek to Pangsang Bhanjyang 3,850 meters - 04 hrs.

Day 01: Reach Kathmandu 1,340 m via respective airlines and transfer to hotel.

On arrival at Kathmandu and Nepal International airport received by our Mountain Challenger staff and guides for short transfer and drive in the heart of Kathmandu city to your respective hotels. After checking into your rooms meet at the briefing hall where our guide or leader will brief you regarding Ganesh Himal trekking. Include information of hotels, lodge and do’s and don’ts with group welcome dinner in a nice authentic Nepalese Restaurant with various Folk programs of Nepal as entertainment.  

Day 02: In Kathmandu with a sightseeing tour around world heritage sites.

The morning after breakfast our city guide will take you for an interesting sightseeing tour in and around Kathmandu city, where Kathmandu valley steeped with ancient historical, religious monuments which are listed on world heritage sites. Tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square (old Malla and Shah Royal courtyard) with resident of virgin  ‘Goddess Kumari’ and other places of great interest, from here heading to oldest landmark of Kathmandu and Nepal at Swayambhunath Stupa, believed to be more than 2,600 years old a Buddhist dome-shaped with all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha and then back to Hotel with free afternoon preparation for Ganesh Himal trekking. 

Day 03:  Drive to Arughat town 630 m - 06 hrs.

Morning taking a tourist coach or smaller vehicle as per group size for an overland drive that leads you away and beyond Kathmandu valley heading north Mid-West with views of snowcapped mountains. As drive continues past farm villages and town then heading to reach at Arughat town for a first overnight stop in local guest house and lodge within Gorkha district. An interesting farm town located by Buri-Gandaki River with a bridge that separates Dhading and Gorkha districts. 

Day 04: Trek to Manabu 1,300 m - 06 hrs.

First day walk begins on the radial winding path to Arkhet village at 1,200 m, a nice farm village with well tended paddy terraced, from this village cross Buri Gandaki River  heading east to Dhading area at Manbu village. Where walk leads uphill on zig zag winding path for few hours to reach a small village of Bahun gaon, from here a short climb to Manbu village for an overnight stop with the first night in tents, overlooking super views of Himal Chuli, Boudha Himal.

Day 05: Trek to Lamo Dhunga 2,200 m - 06 hrs.

After Manabu walk to Dhunchet for two hours and then uphill passing scattered smaller villages and forest to reach at Dhunchet for lunch after a stop here climbs for an hour on a winding trail with some gradual walk to Lama shunga for overnight camp.

Day 06:  Trek to Nauban Kharka 2,750 m - 06 hrs.

From Lama Dhunga, trekking into forested area and streams and then leaving the village crossing small streams than with a gentle climb for two hours to reach at Nubian Kharka for overnight stop offering superb views of Himal Chuli and Boudha Himal of Manaslu range of mountains.

Day 07:   Trek to Yarsa via Khading 2, 570 m - 05 hrs.

Morning walk leads to cross Nubian Bhanjyang for an hour with wonderful views of snow-capped peaks in the distance then heading down on the gentle slope to Khading for 3 hours with views of Ganesh III-IV and after Khading continues to walk for an hour descending to Yarsa for overnight camp.

Day 08:  Trek to Timila school 1,760 m ahead Tirigaon - 06 hrs.                                                                                                                                                                                               

Enjoying fabulous views of peaks, walk leads for an hour with a steep uphill to Kupchet and then descending to Lapche to cross a small stream reaching at Kapor Gaon, after a nice stop here, the walk continues to Timila school area which is close to Tirigagoan village for overnight camp.

Day 09: Trek to Chalisa 1,920 m - 05 hrs.

From Timila school area camp, morning walk follows to Tirigaon taking few hours on gentle and moderate winding path reaching at Tatopani ‘hot spring’ a nice stop here for refreshment and a bath in hot spring, after a wonderful break our walk continues for an hour to Dudari Khola and then climb high up to Chalisa for overnight camp, which is above the village with nice camping area offering superb views of surrounding hills and landscapes with snow-capped mountains.

Day 10:  Trek to Marmelung Kharka 3,200 m - 06 hrs.

Morning visit an old monastery of the village and then downhill to Tipling River valley gorge, and across a bridge with a steep uphill to Tipling for another two hours continue to climb till Marmelung Kharka is reached for an overnight stop.

Day 11:  Trek to Pangsang Bhanjyang 3,850 meters - 04 hrs.

After a great time at Marmelung Kharka, morning walk leads to a climb on the forested ridge to Pansang pass at 3,850 meters high with tremendous views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu range and as far to Annapurna at Pangsang la for lunch and overnight stop with the marvelous views.

Day 12: Trek to Rupchet 3,045m - 06 hrs.

Leaving Bhanjyang behind which is not quite "all downhill" and the path does a couple of switchbacks from one side of the ridge to the other, and always offering the promise of new views as a reward for the effort we’ve put in. The trekking, the views, and the extraordinary feeling of walking on air-high above the world have to be experienced to be believed, after a dramatic descent off the end of the higher Tiru Danda, and down the rocky gullies to reach Rupchet just above the tree-line and camp at Rupchet itself.

Day 13:  Trek to Saline 2,500 m - 05 hrs.

Today pass through the lush forests making a long descent toward the Salankhu Khola side.  Once again back amongst the people and agricultural endeavor, passing through the farmlands and small villages eventually reaching Saline village, camp on open terrace lands close to the village.

Day 14:  Trek to Deurali 1,540 m - 05 hrs.

Traversing through the terraced fields, crossing a steep little pass then into lovely forests too, reach at Boldugaon village, from here on leaving behind the village continue on zig-zag trails down towards picturesque agricultural fields at Deurali village for last overnight camp.

Day 15:  Trek to Trisuli Bazaar and drive back to Kathmandu.

After pleasant and interesting time on high hills and valley of Ganesh Himal with last overnight around high areas of Nepal Mid-West Himalaya, morning starts with short walk downhill to reach around low warm farm areas and into a town at Trisuli Bazaar. Completing our wonderful walks and adventure, taking a drive of a few hours to reach back at Hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu, with the afternoon free at leisure for individual activities and shopping souvenirs. 

Day 16:  International departure for homeward bound.

Last day in Nepal country of high mountains and varied colorful culture, as per your international flight time, our staff transfer you to the airport for final departure homeward bound with fabulous and unique memories and adventure on beautiful Ganesh Himal Trekking.
